Hello, this is Asaichi in Asakusa.
On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, we hosted the “Egao Plus Parent-Child Dining Event” at Asaichi.
This event was organized by the Egao Plus Children’s Support Association (a general incorporated association) and co-hosted by Asaichi.
Despite the unstable weather that day, and although a few participants were unable to attend due to illness, a total of 8 parents and children from 4 families joined us.
Because it was a small gathering, it turned into a warm and intimate time where we could chat leisurely and see everyone’s smiles up close.
Preparing with Care from Early Morning
To ensure everyone could enjoy a delicious meal to their heart’s content, we started shopping and prepping early in the morning.
Wondering, “What kind of expressions will they have while eating?” we prepared each dish with care, looking forward to seeing the smiles of our participants.
100% Wagyu Hamburger Steak Curry
The main dish this time was a special curry topped with a 100% Wagyu hamburger steak.
We simmered the curry slowly with plenty of onions and vegetables, ensuring it would be delicious even on its own.
And the hamburger steak topping was—believe it or not—100% Wagyu beef!
Since we didn’t use any binders, cooking it required a bit of finesse, but it turned out beautifully and tasted delicious.
To make sure the moms enjoyed it too, we prepared two types of curry this time.
In addition to a mild version that’s easy for kids to eat, we also prepared a spicy version for the adults.
Making two kinds of curry was quite a challenge, but hearing the moms say, “This is delicious!” made all the effort worthwhile.
The side dishes were also homemade.
Along with the curry, we served fried chicken and cheese spring rolls.
We also arranged a colorful vegetable salad to make the table look even more festive.
The fried chicken was especially popular—some people even asked for seconds.
Enjoying the Halloween Spirit
For this event, Smile Plus provided Halloween-themed placemats, cute bags, long-life bread, and nail oil for the moms.
Laying out the Halloween-themed placemats on the tables created a fun atmosphere—a little different from the usual Asaichi.
After the meal, we arranged a variety of sweets on the tables so the children could freely choose and enjoy them.
And before they left, we packed the treats from the table along with Halloween candy into cute bags to give them as souvenirs.
It was a moment filled with warm thoughtfulness, ensuring both parents and children left happy.
Enjoying Freshly Prepared Dishes at a Leisurely Pace
At Asaichi, just like during a regular meal, guests were able to sit back, relax, and enjoy freshly prepared dishes.
After all, there’s nothing quite like savoring piping-hot dishes right where they’re served.
Conversations flowed naturally, and it seemed like parents and children alike had a wonderful time together.
So Many Smiling Faces!
To make sure the children had a great time too, we prepared a variety of extras in addition to the meal.
We also served juice and fresh pears.
We saw many children having a great time—whether they were picking out treats or holding their Halloween goodie bags.
Seeing their smiling faces made us happy, too.
“I’m so glad we did this.”
Now that this event is over, what has stayed with me most of all are the many smiles of everyone who participated.
While the preparations were a bit challenging at times, seeing everyone enjoying their meals so much made it
“I’m so glad we did this!”
—a day when I could truly feel that from the bottom of my heart.
